The CT Engineering group to participate in the specialised Airtec fair for the second time

  • The CT Engineering group will be participating in AIRTEC 2014, the International Aerospace Fair that specialises in the chain of supply within the aerospace sector. The fair this year celebrates its 9th edition.
  • The Fair will take place in the Exhibition Centre in Frankfurt, Germany between the 28th and 30th of October.
  • The CT Engineering group will be appearing at stand D-16. This is the second time the group attends this international event.

Getafe – Spain, 15th of October 2014

The CT Engineering group will be sharing their engineering capabilities amongst the most important global suppliers from within the aerospace sector at Airtec 2014, the International Aerospace Fair which specialises in the chain of supply within the aerospace sector, taking place in Frankfurt between the 28th and 30th of October.

The Fair will be inaugurated by the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs of the German government, Brigitte Zypries. In its 9th edition, it shall have more than 300 companies taking part in the event from a total of 30 countries.

The CT Engineering group will be presenting their value proposal for engineering services whose competencies have been recently recognised by the AIRBUS Group, selecting CT Engineers as one of the preferential 12 ME3S suppliers for services of Production Engineering and one of the 16 E2S suppliers for Product Engineering. The CT Engineering group has already received requests for work meetings from over 18 companies within the highest tier of the aerospace sector, from countries all over the world, who have shown an interest in working with CT Engineers, given its well-known experience of working with composite materials.

For the very first time, the CT Engineering group will be presenting at Airtec 2014 its new system of automatic sealing through filling via a variable geometric nozzle made out of pieces of composite materials. This innovative method is directed by a robot that follows the instructions of a camera whose function it is to measure the gap between two pieces of composite material, sending the nozzle the necessary instructions to deposit at each moment, the precise amount of sealant a gap requires.

This invention, whose technological basis has been developed in the context of the European Clean Sky Programme supporting the European Aerospace Sector, has been recognised as a first-class qualitative advance to resolve problems that traditionally arose out of sticking two pieces of composite materials in the processes of aeronautical assembly.

According to José Evelio Jiménez, Director of Engineering: “AIRTEC 2014 provides us with a unique opportunity to present our new experience by grouping the chain of aerospace supply in one place, with the possibility to carry out B2B meetings with the main suppliers in the aerospace sector. It is an ideal platform for the business and global growth of CT.”
